Norberry-Glenlee Community Centre is urgently looking for a Secretary/Treasurer - our current volunteer is leaving the Board after many years of service in April, so we need to find a replacement ASAP in order to transition.  An accounting background is needed to manage the finances of the CC, but everyday entries, deposits etc. are done by our staff.

If you would like more information about this position, please email us or call 204-256-6654.

Our next pre-Teen dance for the under 12 crowd will take place on Friday, February 10th from 7-9 pm in the main hall at the Norberry site.  Entry is $3 and the canteen will also be open.  Lots of fun, games and excitement!  We are always looking for parents to volunteer and help out with supervision, so parents are welcome to stay.  Pick up is at 9 pm sharp!

In 2022 our big project here at NGCC was our Universal Toilet Room (UTR). We were thankful for the City of Winnipeg Renovation Grant, the Province's Building Sustainable Communities Grant, a CIPG grant through Councilor Brian Mayes and a grant through the Thomas Sill Foundation!
This project improves our facility to now make it even more inclusive, especially for those that need to be attended to in a washroom. The UTR is located just inside the main doors here at the Norberry site on Molgat Avenue, so people attending events here or those using the Accessible Play Park outside can access it easily.
The UTR is located where our former storage room was, so we had to create a new storage room with doors off the main hall. We also updated the doors to go into the main hall, making them fully accessible too.
To see photos of the project, visit our Facebook page here.

Our outdoor rinks and change areas are open at the Norberry site from 10 am - 10 pm Monday to Friday and 10 am - 6 pm on weekends.  The WJSF at the Glenlee site on Worthington is open Monday to Friday from 5-10 pm and weekends from 10-5 pm.  Happy skating everyone!

The City of Winnipeg is once again running their FREE drop-in program on Monday's in our gym.  There will be 2 groups:

6-12 year olds - 4-6 pm - Oct 3 to May 1 (closed on holidays)
13-18 year olds - 6-8 pm - Oct 3 to May 1 (closed on holidays)

Spread the word - a great way for the kids to burn off some energy!

Seniors Bingo - Doors open at 11:30 am - purchase cards by 12:30 for 12:45 pm start.  Bingo is usually done around 3 pm. More information is here.

Regular Evening Bingo - doors open at 5:30 pm.  Early birds at 6:45 pm and regular bingo starts at 7:15 pm.  More information is here.

NGCC offers Light & Lively Fitness classes on Monday and Friday mornings. For more information on these classes, click here.  Sessions begin in January, March/April and September.

Peg Family Fitness

Hockey Winnipeg and area associations are excited to announce the creation of our U11 Recreational Program... Hockey Winnipeg and area associations are excited to announce the creation of our U11 Recreational Program in hopes of providing an accessible and inclusive introduction to the sport of hockey for youth ages 9-10 years old. The recreational program is a co-ed, 20 week program beginning in October and runs until the middle of March. It will consist of 1 game per week, played every Saturday at St. Vital Arena with an emphasis on basic skill development and games in a fun and relaxed environment. All skill levels are welcomed with no previous hockey experience needed. Due to limited space availability, players cannot simultaneously play organized hockey and participate in the recreational program. The cost of the program is approximately $350 per player. Registration is now open here. Questions? Please reach out to the Grassroots Program Coordinator, Janelle at grassroots@hockeywinnipeg.ca or 204-784-5454 ext. 4.

WOW is all we can say! What a great night we had... Midsummer's Night Dream Celebration Recap WOW is all we can say! What a great night we had...so many people to open the Play Park and take part in all the fun! It was an overwhelming success with tons of people here. Thanks to Brian Mayes, Rochelle Squires and Jamie Moses for coming down and sharing this moment with us. Thank you to the volunteers that showed up, the vendors who provided everyone with bouncing fun, cotton candy, games, races and artistry for kids faces and memories. A HUGE thank you to our Special Events Directors Tiffany and Rachel, who put in hours of work planning, shopping and supervising last night. To our Board of Directors that also showed up to help out and manage lines, cook hot dogs, put out fires and clean up throughout the evening - you already do enough and you do more when asked! To the 500-600 people that came to support us and take part in the first community celebration in way too long - THANK YOU. For understanding that the overwhelming success meant long lineups for everything, and the fact that the 300 hot dogs and 20 extra large pizzas were still not enough food to give away, no one complained or yelled (that we know of anyway)! To Archangel Fireworks - thank you for an absolutely AWESOME Fireworks display! So many people stayed to watch and pulled over to enjoy them. It was just what our community needed! Our photographer Cindy Phelan took over 200 photos. Check them out on our Facebook page or you can also see them here. Make sure you check out and like our page for all things Norberry-Glenlee Community Centre.
